Basic Signalling 1

Introduction

Basic Signalling One (BS1) is the first course aimed at Railway Signalling Staff and is based on the original British Rail course of the same name.

Objectives

The course has been split into eight subjects and each subject has been arranged into unique training modules each with it's own objectives. On successful completion of the course the candidate will have the necessary knowledge to:

Identify the main components used in an electrical signalling system
Explain the use and purpose of each component
Explain equipment function operation and circuitry
Outline basic fault finding and maintenance techniques
