Clamp Lock Maintenance

Introduction

This Clamp Lock maintenance training course focuses on the maintenance only of Mark II Clamp Locks for plain leads and single slips

Objectives

On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:

Carry out maintenance on a clamp lock fitted plain lead in accordance with the Signal Maintenance Specifications Volume 2 PB11 and PB15
Carry out first line faulting on a clamp lock fitted plain lead in accordance with instructions in the Signal Maintenance Specifications and the Clamp Lock Handbook issue 2

Who Should Attend

Candidates who are involved with the maintenance and or faulting of any Clamp Lock point layout. Ideally candidates should have attended an Introduction to British Rail Signalling course and should be able to read circuit diagrams.

Learning Approach

Classroom sessions and practical work. Theory and practical assessments are included.

 Features

A school environment with the ability to have faults applied. This environment also allows component changing under controlled conditions and where appropriate the equipment may be stripped and re-built. This is a Learning environment without distractions. Candidates attending this course will develop their skills and knowledge so they can carry out maintenance and faulting requirements efficiently and effectively.
