Rule Book Module T1A

Introduction

This course comprehensively covers section T1A of the December 2003 edition of Network Rail's rulebook. T1A replaced section E1 of rule book No.13. and details the arrangements and procedures required for protecting signalling equipment.

Objectives

On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:

Take control of signalling work using section T1a of the Network Rail Rulebook GE/RT8000
Describe the arrangements to be made before commencing work on signalling equipment
Describe the instructions to be given before commencing work on signalling equipment
Explain the responsibilities of the signalling technician when taking charge of signalling work associated with section T1A
Be able to understand and complete the relevant forms associated with section T1A
Demonstrate an ability to correctly carry out the instructions contained in section T1A for a selection of work place scenarios
