Introduction
The aim of this course is to deliver a broad overview of how certain signalling equipment works, why it is there and to highlight the general problems that can exist between P-Way and S&T Signalling staff.
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
- Identify any potential hazards involved with signalling equipment;
- Explain the basic principles of track circuits;
- Understand the importance of track circuit bonding;
- Recognise and state the purpose of the various types of equipment found in the four foot;
- Describe the operations and principles of various types of points operation from a signalling perspective;
- Identify interface problems between S&T signalling staff and P-Way staff.

This course is classroom based and therefore no P.P.E. is required.
Certification
A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to the delegate on successful completion of the written assessments.
