Introduction
This course looks at the wiring circuitry associated with point machines and clamp locks and can be split into three main areas:
- Point Calling
- Point Moving
- Point Detection
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
- Describe
- State the purpose of the controls used in the points NWR/RWR circuit
- State why a relay with heavy duty contacts is used to drive the point machine
- State the purpose of the WJR
- State the purpose of the controls used in the points NWKR/RWKR circuit

- Protective “all orange” high Visibility Clothing to Network Rail Standard
- Safety Footwear (Boots) to Network Rail Standard
- Safety Helmet (white/blue) to Network Rail Standard
