Introduction
The aim of this session is to give the candidates an in depth knowledge of relays and their use in Railway Signalling systems.
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
- Identify the main components of a relay;
- State the purpose of the Relay Pin Code;
- State the type of relay used from a given contact analysis sheet;
- State the type of relay used from a given wiring diagram;
- Describe the precautions to be taken when replacing a relay;
- List the checks that should be made when replacing a relay to both the original and new relay.

This course is classroom based and therefore no P.P.E. is required.
Certification
A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to the delegate on successful completion of the written assessments.
