Introduction
The aim of this course is to introduce the candidates to the concepts of a modern Railway Signalling Control Centre.
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to:
- State the purpose of the Train describer;
- Define a Train Headcode;
- Describe the function of the Central Processor Unit;
- Describe the function of a Local Processor Unit;
- Explain the terms Junction Mode, Layover Time and Signal Adjust Time;
- Explain the use of the Timetable in Automatic Route Setting;
- Describe the function of the Automatic Route Setting system;
- Describe the interconnection between the Control Centre equipment and the Signalling Equipment.

This course is classroom based and therefore no P.P.E. is required.
Certification
A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to the delegate on successful completion of the written assessments.
