The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE), is an international organisation acting as the professional institution for all those engaged in railway signalling and telecommunications, and allied disciplines.

The IRSE assessable categories that we can currently arrange are detailed below.

The IRSE's Licensing Scheme

The IRSE’s Licensing Scheme exists to provide a recognised means of assessing the competence of railway signalling and telecom personnel. It is recognised in the UK and many other countries around the world.

Our colleagues at “PM Training and Assessing” can provide assessments at S&T Training’s facility at Eastleigh for IRSE licences in these categories:

Signalling Installation

Signalling Testing

Signalling Maintenance

For details of the requirements for the licences in each group click on the following link to the IRSE or contact PM Training and Assessing who can also carry out assessments in other categories such as:

Signalling Design

Signalling Telecoms

Engineering Manager and Senior Manager
